When developing our Honda TRX450 intake system envisioned a complete system that offers everything you would expect from an intake system and more. We wanted it to fit all aspects of quad racing as you know it. From MX, to the muddy trails, to the sand, this intake can handle it all. Due to the limited space that the TRX450 presents, most aftermarket intakes do not fit with aftermarket shocks, Fuel Customs intakes do. One thing that is common amongst most aftermarket intakes is they are usually a straight tube with a consistent diameter. The Flow that a straight diameter pipe presents is considerably different than one that is turned and tapered leading to a pulsing intake tract of an engine. The dynamics of it all change hugely! In every high performance engine build, there is a certain length intake needed to get the best performance at that particular engines running Frequency. Finding that length with the (PROPER TAPER) before the bell of the carb is a fairly important step and one that has not escaped us here at Fuel Customs.
